Designed by Robbie Robinson, the South Course opened in 1972. Robinson routed the course around a large valley, which comes into play on four holes. The South features massive greens, meandering creeks and wide fairways. The highlight of the South is the 6th hole. The 6th features a unique double fairway, with a 40 foot elevation change between each fairway. The right fairway is wide, but will leave a blind shot into the large green. The fairway on the left is narrow, and also guarded by sand and a creek, but will leave an easy approach to the green. Along with the West, the South is generally used for those playing 18 holes. Nine hole play is allowed on the South, based on availability.

"Every golfer no matter what skill can run their ball on the putting surface. The ground game allows you to use your imagination. There's more chance to be creative."
